The serial numbers on this tag are all suffixed with the letter "A". Use began around and continued until at least This serial number tag with the name "Delta Mfg Division" has been found on machines that were of both Delta and Crescent designs but made at the Crescent factory. This style tag was used for a short period of time after Rockwell took over Crescent in until they began using the serial numbers prefixed with the letters "CA-" around This style of tag began showing up on Crescent machines after serial numbers began using the "CA-" prefix. Also during this period probably during WWIICrescent used a tag made out of thick paste board - probably due to the shortage and rationing of metals during the war.Įxact range of dates this tag was used is unknown but probably between and Below is a rare example of this tag as many have not survived due to them being made out of paper. These tags were used between when they started using tags again and when Crescent was bought out by Rockwell in During this period of time, Crescent used several style badges with known examples show below. Sometime around or so an exact time is not currently knownCrescent once again began to use a serial number tag on their machines rather than just stamping the number directly on the machine.
